We, Engtex Group Berhad (Company No.: 200101000937 (536693-X)) which includes the holding company, subsidiaries and any associated company as defined in the Company Act 2016 (collectively referred to as, “Engtex Group”, “we”, “our” or “us”) respect the right of the data subject (referred to as, “you” or “your”) to privacy and protect your Personal Data in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, the Personal Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2024 and the applicable laws and regulations.
This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, process, store, transfer and protect your Personal Data. By providing your Personal Data to us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to the terms of this Privacy Notice.
We may collect your Personal Data, which may include, but is not limited to the following information:
a) personal details (e.g. your name, age, gender, identity card or passport details, race, religion, nationality, educational background, medical records, bank account details, photographs, video recordings and biometric data);
b) contact details (e.g. address, email and phone number);
c) family information (e.g. marital status, details of your spouse, children and immediate family members);

Where sensitive Personal Data (e.g. health, biometric, political or religious beliefs) is involved, we will obtain your consent prior to its processing.
We may collect your Personal Data either directly from you or indirectly through various sources.
a) When you fill out an application form, registration form or any other form under Engtex Group and/or provide the required documents;
b) When you provide us with an enquiry, feedback or complaint;
c) From publicly available sources;
d) From credit reporting agencies, due diligence service providers and trade associations;
e) From third party job application platforms;
f) From the member companies within Engtex Group and related companies; and/or
g) From cookies and similar tracking technology used on our websites.
Unless stated otherwise, it is mandatory for you to provide the required Personal Data in the relevant forms and documents. If you choose to withhold, withdraw or limit your consent for us to process your Personal Data, we may be unable to enter into or continue our business dealings with you. We reserve the right to reject your application to become our customer, vendor, employee or other stakeholder.
Your Personal Data will be collected, used, processed and/or maintained by us for, among others, the following purposes:
a) to communicate with you;
b) to assess and process your application or registration;
c) to administrate any employment related matters;
d) to process your application for obtaining, upgrading or renewing credit terms;
e) to facilitate the sale and purchase transactions and/or business dealings;
f) to conduct credit risk assessments and background check as and when deemed necessary or appropriate;
g) to facilitate the delivery or receipt of products, services, notices and other documents;

q) for any other relevant purposes in the ordinary course of our business.
Your Personal Data provided to us will be kept confidential. However, you hereby consent to and authorise us to disclose your Personal Data to the following parties:
a) any person to whom we are required to disclose under the law or in response to requests from government agencies, authorities or regulators;
b) any member company within Engtex Group and/or related companies, including those established in the future;
c) our business partners, associates and affiliates that provide products or services related to our business;
d) our auditors, consultants, accountants, lawyers, financial advisers or other professionals;
e) debt collection agencies and credit reporting agencies in the event of payment default;
f) any guarantor or security provider related to your trade facility; and/or
g) any party involved in a potential or actual merger, acquisition or corporate restructuring.
We shall keep and process your data in a secure manner. Where practicable, we endeavour to implement appropriate administrative, technical and security safeguards and procedures, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, to prevent the unauthorised or unlawful access/ processing of your Personal Data as well as accidental loss, destruction or damage. In the event where external service providers are engaged to process your Personal Data, we ensure that they implement specific security and confidentiality measures to safeguard your Personal Data.
Where we consider it necessary or appropriate for the purposes of data storage, processing or provision of any product or service to you on our behalf, we may transfer your Personal Data to other member companies of Engtex Group or third party service providers, whether located within or outside the country in which we are established. Such transfers will be made under conditions of confidentiality and with similar levels of security safeguards, and only where permitted under Malaysian law.
You have the right to request access to and correction of the information we hold about you. In this regard, you may:
a) check whether we hold or use your Personal Data and request access to such data;
b) request that we correct any of your Personal Data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
c) object to the use of your Personal Data for marketing purposes, in which case we will not use your Personal Data for such purposes;
d) withdraw, in full or in part, any consent given previously, subject to any applicable legal requirements, contractual obligations and a reasonable notice period; and/or
e) request data portability in a structured and commonly used format.
We reserve the right to impose a fee for access of your Personal Data, in amounts permitted under Malaysian law.
If you do not wish for your Personal Data to be collected via cookies on our websites, you may disable cookies by adjusting your internet browser settings, deleting your browsing history and clearing your browser cache. However, please note that doing so may affect your ability to use certain features and functionality of our websites or services.
If the Personal Data of a minor (an individual under 18 years old) is provided to us, you as the parent or legal guardian, hereby consent to the processing of the minor’s Personal Data and agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Notice.
You may have provided Personal Data relating to other individuals, such as your family members or friends. In such circumstances, you represent and warrant that you are authorised to disclose their Personal Data to us and you have obtained their consent for their Personal Data to be processed in accordance to this Privacy Notice.
Your Personal Data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the legitimate purposes for which it was collected and comply with applicable Malaysian law. Where your Personal Data is no longer required, it will be securely deleted or anonymised.
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. You are advised to review it periodically for any changes. By continuing to provide us with your Personal Data after any updates, you will be deemed to have accepted the revised Privacy Notice.
If there is any conflict between the English version and other language versions of this Privacy Notice, the English version shall prevail.
